OWENSBORO – Vivian Carole Poole, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Born August 23, 1940, in Muhlenberg County to the late James Courtland Arnett and Ella Marie Matheny Arnett. She graduated from Graham School and retired as a paralegal for Texas Gas and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for almost 50 years and enjoyed senior trips and volunteering in the nursery and kitchen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leon G. Poole; brother, Marvin Arnett; and a sister, Judy Hope.
Survivors include her three children, Bryan (Lori) Poole of Owensboro, Kevin (Pamela) Poole of Owensboro, and Joanna (Jimmy) Decker of Versailles, Ky.; five grandchildren: Courtney and Kendra Poole, Emily Poole, and Hayden and Alex Decker; brother, Michael Arnett; several nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend, Patsy Drewery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
