SACRAMENTO – Virginia Lois Igleheart Barnett, 80, of Sacramento, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 7:21 a.m. She passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Born March 28, 1945 to the late Murtry Moore Igleheart, Sr., and Verla Mae Tucker Igleheart. Virginia was married to William Barnett on December 22, 1962. She was a graduate of Sacramento High School and a long-time member of Cypress Primitive Baptist Church. Virginia will always be remembered for her kindness and the way she made you feel welcome. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, and cooking for the holidays. Virginia devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We could not have asked for a better wife and mother, and will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. In addition to her parents, Murtry and Verla Igleheart, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Ann Barnett; and brothers, Murtry Igleheart, Jr., and Gerald Igleheart.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, William Graydon Barnett; sons, Tracy Barnett, and Brandon Barnett; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy Iglehart.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Elder Steve Whitaker officiating. Burial in Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
