Drakesboro – Vickie Powell, 66, of Drakesboro, died Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:33 a.m. at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Born September 24, 1959 in Greenville. She was a leg line lead for Purdue, loved flowers, and was a craftswoman skilled at crocheting and cooking. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, where she got to do what she loved most of all; spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jennie Brewer; and her sisters, Wilma Morris and Debbie Brewer.
Survivors include her loving husband, George Powell; daughter, Chasity Ewing; son, Ricky Powell; brothers, Ronnie Brewer and William “Chip” Brewer; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, with second great-grandchild on the way in November 2025; as well as several nieces and nephews.
