CENTRAL CITY – Veronica Joan Mitchell, 71, of Central City, died Monday, November 2, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born July 21, 1949, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker, and also retired from McDonald’s. She was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, O.V. Burden; and brother Barry Burden.
Survivors include her mother, Inez Burden; husband Danny Mitchell; daughter Jeni Jenkins and Kimberly Mitchell both of Central City; brothers and sisters Phil Burden, Lannie Lear, Debbie Shrehl and Tony Burden; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Immediate family and close friends will honor Joan with a graveside service on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Bro. Tom Fletcher officiating. Burial to follow.
