GREENVILLE – Vera Marie Hayes, 90, of Greenville, died Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:39 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born October 9, 1934, in Christian County. She was a homemaker and member of Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Madisonville. Mrs. Hayes enjoyed cooking for her family, and showing them love, support, and security. She also enjoyed gardening, going to church, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Hayes; children, Jimmy Hayes and Roselyn Avery; sisters, Edna Jones, Opal Duncan, Ruth Fuller, and Clarissa Sisk; and brothers, Ralph Fuller, Billy Fuller, Phillip Fuller, Kenneth Fuller, and David Fuller.
Survivors include her children, Dean (Gary) Humphrey, Marlene (Tony) Moore, Barry (Judy) Hayes, Regina (Danny) Kempf, Phyllis (Johnny) Dukes, Lisa (Teddy) Law, and Vickie (Mike) Pennington; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Fuller.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Ron Hendricks officiating, assisted by Pastor Robbie Knox.
