BEECHMONT – Van Buren Wilson, 81, of Beechmont, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 9:55 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born August 16, 1943 in Logan County. He was a member of Oak Forest Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired Coal Miner. He spent much of his time cattle farming, fishing, and bird hunting, but most of all he adored his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Thelma Wilson; son, Jon Paul Wilson; and brother, Nathan Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Johnson Wilson; daughter, Tonya (DeWayne) Pendley; grandchildren, Kandra (Nolan) Davis, Karissa Pendley, Kaylee Pendley, and Wesley Wilson; great-grandchildren, Samuel Davis; sister, Renee Saul; brother, Joe (Gwen) Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Brooks officiating. Burial followed in Fitzhugh Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
