Bremen, KY – Tommy Rager, 86, of Bremen, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the care of the wonderful staff at Riverside Care and Rehab in Calhoun. Born April 19, 1939 in Muhlenberg County to the late Rufus and Bessy Rager, Tommy grew up with a love for the outdoors that would stay with him for a lifetime. He was a skilled horseman and an avid hunter and fisherman. A hard and dedicated worker, Tommy often held multiple jobs so Betty could remain a stay-at-home mom. He retired from Alcan Aluminum in 2001. Later in life, Tommy came to a sincere faith in Jesus Christ — a faith evident in his words, his demeanor, and his love for family and friends. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace in God’s presence. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; their daughter, Tammy; brothers, Jr. Rager, Homer Rager and Kenny Rager and sisters Mary Ruth Lynch and Judy Faye Hudson.
Survivors include his daughter, Melinda, and his son-in-law – the son he never had – Robbie Baize; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Margie Crutcher, and Robert Rager and many nieces and nephews.
