GREENVILLE – Tommy James Thompson, 70, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 9:23 a.m. at his residence. Born January 19, 1954 in Mississippi. He retired from working as a Fence Builder. He enjoyed watching Westerns, shooting guns with his brother-in-law, Bob Morgan and hanging out with his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clarence Thompson and Lillie Mae Thompson; and siblings, William “Buddy” Thompson, Hollis “Wayne” Thompson, Linda Ruth Morales, Carol Ann Morgan, Steven Dale Thompson, and Richard Poer.
Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Kennedy (Fiancé Mark Self), Tina (William) Bazzano, Stephanie (Lance) Roberts, and Jamie (Brian) Penrod; grand-children, Kelsey Bazzano, Camry Morgan, Austin Kennedy, Tyler (Alle) Thompson, Kirk Penrod, Rachael Penrod, Memphis Penrod, Chase Penrod, and Novalee Roberts; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Morgan, Jerry “J.T.” Morgan, and Asher Hayes; sister, Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Dickerson; brother, Terry (Patty) Thompson; and brother-in-law, Bobby Morgan.
