GREENVILLE – Sydney Lee Marshia, Jr., 77, of Greenville, died Monday, August 17, 2026 in Greenville. Mr. Marshia was born in Louisville on July 10, 1949. He was a Carpenter Foreman for TVA and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of New Paradise Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Ohler, and Tammy Marshia; and brother, David Marshia.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Bivins Marshia; sons, Joshua (Crystal) Marshia, and William (Dena) Marshia; grandchildren, Dakota Marshia, Colin Marshia (Bre) and Kamrin Markwell (James); soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Devin Markwell; and brothers, Steve Marshia, Lonnie Marshia.
