CENTRAL CITY – Susan Julia Grundy, 72, of Central City, died Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:41 a.m. at Riverside Care and Rehab Center in Calhoun. Born March 20, 1953 in Hopkins County. She was of the Christian faith, and she loved spending time outdoors, hiking, painting, and time spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her biological parents, father Joseph Phillips and mother Fran Rone; and adoptive parents, father James Miller and mother Mildred Rone; and brother, Lynn Miller.
Survivors include her two children, Melissa Felker, and Jason Grundy; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three siblings, Alice Phillips McGraw, Barbara Phillips and Joe Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Chaplain Lee Hicks officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery.
