GREENVILLE – Sue Nell (Latham) Costellow, 91, of Greenville, passed from this home to her heavenly home where Jesus was waiting with open arms Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Born January 22nd, 1934 in Muhlenberg County. The circle is now complete, she was the last remaining of 13 born to Shelby Lee Jones and Nettie Middleton Jones. She was retired from Emerson Electric and a wonderful wife to Wayburn, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a mighty prayer warrior and a light to all that crossed her path. Her greatest desire in life was for her entire family to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior so she could be reunited with them again.
She was preceded in death by her parents,;the father of her children Jewel Gene Latham; son, Gene Thomas Latham (Tommy); grandson, Jeremy Ray McGehee; six brothers, Lyndell C. Jones, Clifton Jones, Brank Jones, Freddie Leon Jones, C.W. Jones, and Shelby Wayne Jones; six sisters, Margaret McIntosh, Lee Pickering, Willodean Brooks, Ethylene Jones, Hilda Jane Skipworth and Barbara Ellen Richards.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Wayburn Costellow; daughter Judy (Gary) McGehee; son, Marvin Earl (Cathy) Latham; daughter in law, Pat Latham; step daughter, Bonita McCoy step son Allen(Glenda) Costellow; grandchildren, AJ Reed, Matthew (Sara) McGehee, Amy (Ryan) Moore, Jay (Raye) Latham, Travis (Bailie) Latham, Brittney (Ethan) Edwards, Caleb (Jen) Costellow, Carrie Costellow, Courtney Costellow, Peady Costellow, Hannah (Nate) Schnadinger; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Come celebrate with us a life lived for Jesus, Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Garys Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. John Butch Day. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
