CENTRAL CITY – Stephen Lee Rathburn, 81, of Central City, died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born April 3, 1940, in Ohio, he was Materials Management Supervisor at Baptist Health in Madisonville, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Juanita Rathburn; and brother Tom Rathburn.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Penrod Rathburn; son Mark Rathburn; daughters Amy Bourdon and Lindsay (Jeremy) Phelps; grandchildren Emma Lear, Chandler Phelps, Oliver Phelps, and Cooper Phelps and sisters Marilyn Griffin and Ruth (Gary) Zuber.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
