CENTRAL CITY – Stephen Harris, Sr., 70, of Central City, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 19, 2023,at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born January 20, 1953, in Hopkins County, he was a carpenter for Landmark Contractors. He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Slim” and Pauline Harris; two sisters; and one brother.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Phyllis Garrett Harris; daughters, Jessica Gregory of Central City and Bridget Woods of Cleaton; sons, Jamey Harris of Mortons Gap, Stephen Harris, Jr. of St. Charles, Eric Harris of Madisonville, Dwayne Gordon of Florida, Brian Gregory of Central City, and Jeremy Gregory of Drakesboro; sisters, Sue Mullinex and Jimmy Weaver; brothers, Romey Harris, John Harris, and Raymond Harris; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bobby Allen officiating. Burial in Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles.
