CENTRAL CITY – Sophia Louise Carroll, 76, of Central City, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born November 14, 1944, in Ohio County. She was a CNA at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Ind. for 15 years, and was a member of Mercer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Carroll.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Carroll Masick of Michigan City, Ind.; son Curtis L. Carroll of Westminster, Colo.; grandchildren Amber Carroll Wilkerson, Sarah Masick, Joshua Masick, and Rebekah Masick; great-granddaughter Emily Wilkerson; brother Larry Reed of Central City; and sister Martha Long of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
