Sonja F. Kimmel, 87, a resident of North Fort Myers, Fla. for the past nine years, formerly of Central City, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 in North Fort Myers. Born January 1, 1935 in Colebrook, N.H. to Keene and Eva Frick, now deceased. She was of the Baptist faith and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. She worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed walking and hiking. She volunteered for various charitable organizations throughout her life. She was preceded in death by a son, Brad Nofsinger.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Karen Benson of North Fort Myers, and Gayle Brothers of Central City; sisters, Marion Coffman (Lloyd), and Sue Wright, both of Independence, Ore.; grandchildren, Jacob Benson (Jaime), Erin Weaver (Brad) Ali Jarvis (Buddy), and Clay Brothers; eleven great grandchildren; as well as three great great grandchildren.
