DRAKESBORO – Shirley Buchanan Dwyer, 71, of Drakesboro, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville. Born May 23, 1954 in Muhlenberg County. She was a Homemaker and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Dwyer; and siblings, Tommy Buchanan, Bruce Buchanan, Phillip Buchanan, and Charlene Lear.
Survivors include her children, Michael Dwyer, Stacie Wagoner, and Breanna Smith; one grandchild; siblings, Kay Zachery, Carolyn Garrett, Mable Groves, and Chester Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 9, 2026 at 12 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial in Peanut Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
