SACRAMENTO – Shirley Ann Vanover, 81, of Sacramento, died Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12:46 a.m. at her residence. Born December 10, 1942 in Muhlenberg County, she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Bremen. She was preceded in death by her son Tony Mauzy; parents Hershel and Rethel Higgs; and siblings Chester Higgs, Freeman Higgs, Leroy Higgs, Bobby Higgs, Dorthy Higgs Johnson, and Wanda Sue West.
Survivors include her daughter Glenda Koon; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-children.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Rev. Kyle Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in Gish Cemetery.
