BREMEN- Shelby “Momma Jean” Jean Edwards, 88, of Bremen died Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Born in Muhlenberg County March 15, 1937. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Edwards is preceded in death by her mother, Della Sue Mitchell Stewart; father, Ivy Jackson “Jack” Stewart; siblings, Thelma Culbertson, Lenvil Stewart, Dorothy Stevens, John Stewart, Virginia Vincent, Hobert Stewart, Wyvonna Webb, Hilda Hardison, Bobby Stewart, Wilda Miller; husband, James D. Edwards; son, Ricky Edwards.
Survivors include her son, Kevin (Becky) Edwards; grandchildren, Nichole (Troy) Johnson, Amie (Donny) Cain, Derrick (Ashley) Edwards; sister, Wanda Robison; great grandchildren, Kayla (Michael) Durall, Erica Johnson, Madisyn Johnson, Mason Cain, Myles Edwards, Aubree Edwards, Lainey Edwards, Harrison Edwards, Keelee Cain, Brance (Tamara) Cain, Kayden Jones, Corbin Jones; great great grandchildren, Elena Parker, Talulah Clark, Riley Cian, Asher Cain, Kaydence Simpson, Koleson Turnage.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. John Culbertson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
