GREENVILLE-Samuel Jacquese Loy Jr., 79, of Greenville died January 16, 2021 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Born July 22, 1941 in Chattanooga Tenn. He was a retired plant manager at TVA, veteran of the United States Army, owner of Sams Auto Mart and a member of Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Samuel Jacquese Loy Sr. and Wilma Bragg Loy, daughter Kimberly Denise Loy-Powell, and son Samuel Loy, III.
Survivors include his wife Lana Kaye Fitzhugh Loy, daughters Samantha Dawn Loy Scott, Lisa Smith, Paula Davis and Sheri Clark; sisters, Florence Sells and Mary Holt; grandchildren Jason Scott, Brandon Scott, Ryan Clark, Will Williams, Kenda Williams-Russell, A.J. Loy, Jeremiah Loy and Ashley Loy.
Funeral services will be Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville with Bro. John Robert Day Jr. officiating, assisted by Rev Jason Scott. Burial will be in Carter Creek Church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 9:30 a.m. at the church. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate. Capacity will be limited to comply with current state guidelines.
