SACRAMENTO – Roy Allen Whitmer, 82, of Sacramento, died Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 8:45 p.m. at his residence. Born January 14, 1942 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Powers Chapel General Baptist Church and worked as a Carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting mushrooms and ginseng with his loving wife. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Jo Whitmer; and parents, Owen and Dorothy Whitmer.
Survivors include his son, David (Lisa) Whitmer; daughter, Mary (Wade) Capps; grandchildren, Andrew Capps, Brandi Piper, Shanda (Trevor) Capps, Chase Capps, Jessie Whitmer, and Kaleb (Jayce) Whitmer; and brother, Jimmy (Regina) Whitmer.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Brier Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
