CENTRAL CITY – Ronnie Dale Lear, 77, of Central City, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 3:41 p.m. at his residence. Born September 4, 1947, in Greenville. He was a material handler at TVA, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a faithful servant of his Lord. He was a member of First Christian Church for 30 years, and then a member of Green River Chapel Church. Mr. Lear enjoyed watching UK basketball and playing golf with his friends. He served on the Everly Brothers Concert Committee, and was responsible for transportation. His favorite past times were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren on the golf course, and long summer afternoons in his pool. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beatrice Lear; son, Jeffery Lear; and brothers, Michael Lear and Chester Lear.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Lynn Brown Lear; son, Brian (Melissa) Lear of Drakesboro; grandchildren, Kalista Lear and Jeffery Lear; brother, Charles “Charlie” (Connie) Lear; and nephews, Brad, Jason, Jamie, and Jonathan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor Larry Shadowen officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
