Roger Wayne Majors, 61, of Greenville, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Baptist Health Madisonville after losing his 28-day battle with COVID-19. Born June 29, 1960 in Mineral Wells, Texas, he was the son of Muriel McIntosh Majors and Dale Majors. Roger graduated from Greenville High School and was a member of the class of 1978. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store as an associate manager for 25 years. He was presently working at the Madisonville location for the last two years, but had worked at the Buckeye, Arizona store for 11 years before being transferred to the Madisonville store to be closer to his family. He also worked in stores in Bowling Green, Decatur, Ill., and Seymour, Ind. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-brother Michael Lynn Wagoner, niece Bridget Glenn, and grandparents Coy and Belle McIntosh and Ola Majors.
Survivors include his companion, Tyron Carr of Greenville; sisters, Debbie Porter of Greenville, Sandy McCluskey of Greenville and Sharon Glenn of Drakesboro;aunt and uncle, James and Helen McIntosh; aunts, Dorothy Casebier and Debbie McIntosh; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed, especially by his cats Bella and Mona Lisa.
Graveside services will Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00 at Memorial Gardens in Powderly, with Bro. Matthew McIntosh officiating. There will be no visitation. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
