GREENVILLE—-Richard Jonathan Wagoner, 73, of Greenville, died Monday, April 7, 2025 at his residence. Bborn in Greenville, July 1, 1951, the son of the late P.E. Wagoner, Jr. and Reva Nell Fuller Wagoner. He worked as a UMWA coal miner for 20 years and retired in 1990 from Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of New Paradise Baptist Church and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Barry Davis officiating.
Survivors include his two daughters, Christy (Marty) Jordan of Greenville and Mandy (Wes) Newman of Greenville; five grandchildren, Branson (Amber) Jordan, Keely Newman, Kelby Newman, Kamden Newman, Quintin Jordan; three great grandchildren, Bryden Jordan, Dani Jordan, Mayleigh Dukes; brother, Steve Alvin (Ann) Wagoner of Madisonville, Tim (Rhonda) Wagoner of Bowling Green and Mark (Cathy) Wagoner of Greenville; sister, Laura (James) Jackson of Greenville.
Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral at 3:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
