GREENVILLE—Rev. Terry Lynn Chaney, 76, of Graham, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville.  Born in Greenville, January 20, 1949, the son of the late James Aubrey Chaney and Ava Nell Dearmond Chaney.  He retired from work for the Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court after 13 years and had pastored many churches in his career of over 40 years.   He began his ministry at Cave Springs, then continued to serve the Lord at Pleasant View, Hazel Creek, and Woodson Baptist Church.  He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan and liked to play golf with his son.  He was a lifelong lover of sports.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly, officiated by Mr. James Clardy, assisted by Mr. Brent Noffsinger.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Depoy.  Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Anne Chaney of Graham; daughter, Terri Ann Cox of Greenville; son, Neil Chaney of Graham; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter on the way.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly.
