CLAYMOUR, Ky. – Rev. Doug Phillips, age 80 of Claymour, KY passed away 8:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center ER in Hopkinsville. Services will be Tuesday July 23. 2024 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Doug Powell, Bryce Phillips and Bobby Williams officiating. Visitation will be Monday July 22 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service at Latham Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Born in Todd County March 4, 1944. He served many churches in his over 50 years of ministry. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church. Rev. Phillips loved to preach and sing having made 2 CDs, he also loved hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife Glenda Ruth Lacy Phillips in 2015, his parents Norman Mendral Phillips and Murtie Geneva Greenfield Phillips, his son Chuck Phillips and his brother Harold Phillips.
Survivors include his son Todd Phillips and his wife Menchie of Claymour, his daughter in law Karen Phillips of Claymour, his brother Billy Phillips of Hopkinsville. his grandchildren Denea (Doug) Powell, Bethany (Blaine) McPherson, Bryce (Kayla) Phillips Cori Phillips and Eli Phillips and 14 great grandchildren.
