GREENVILLE – Peggy J. Wilson, 91, died Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at OMHS, following a brief illness. Born in Greenville October 25, 1934, Peggy Jeanette Newman lived in Greenville all of her life as a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Greenville First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rocky A. Sainato, brothers Jackie and Joe Newman and husbands Eugene Sainato and Paul Wilson.
Survivors include her sister, Brenda Wade; her daughters, Mona Vick (Ralph), Gina Jenkins, daughter-in-law Suzanne Wilson; eight grandchildren, Holly Browning (Neil), Robbie Vick, Melanie Vick, Nick Sainato (Joe), Rachael Sainato, Sena Jenkins, Amy Wilson-Moghina, Penny Metcalfe (Mark); six great-grandchildren, Alli Newcom (Jay), Madison Embry (Clay), Aiden Vick (Ali), Micah Vick, Alexa Moghina, Austin Moghina and one great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Vick.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, with Dr. John Galyen officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net
