OWENSBORO – Paul Glenn Taylor, 81, of Owensboro, died Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Born July 28, 1943 in Greenville, the son of Joe Taylor and Lula Wagoner Taylor. He had been a factory worker at Southwire Aluminum and previously had worked at American General Life Insurance. He attended Riverside Baptist Church in Owensboro. A graduate of Greenville High School, he was in the Marine Corps for four years. He loved dealing with horses, fishing, and his dog Festus.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, his son Paul Franklin Taylor in 2021, and his beloved dog Festus.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Creek Cemetery in Greenville with Pastor Paul Gatewood officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Taylor of Pasadena, Md.; one granddaughter; one great granddaughters; one great grandson; two sisters, Dean Hill of Greenville and Wanda Jo Johnson of Owensboro; two special nieces and a nephew.
There will be no visitation.
