She was a very active and faithful member of Dunmor Baptist Church for 76 years. She and her family never missed a service except for sickness or death.

Margie’s most important duty was being a homemaker for her husband Kyle Latham (more than 50 years) and her four children. She was a fabulous cook using that talent for years at Lake Malone and Dunmor schools. Also, she was famous for her dumplings, rolls, & fried apple pies. Margie shared food with everyone in the community with a need. Another gift Margie had was sewing. She not only sewed for her family but, help quilt lots of quilts for the Covered in Love Quilt Ministry at Dunmor Baptist Church. Margie carried that “Porter” sense of humor all her life and didn’t care to share it with anyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Latham; daughter, Vickie Martin; six siblings; and granddaughter Amanda.

She is survived by her son, Ricky (Jeanette) Latham; two daughters, Lynn (Wayne) Joines and Sheila (Gerald) Heltsley; grandchildren Gery (Tonya) Joines, Serena (Jamie) Travis, Billy Latham, Jared (Rosie) Latham, Christy (Shawn) Whitis, Jason (Andera) Martin, Jackie (Brian) Hollis, Darnell (Mike) Fleener; great grands Drew and Lucas Travis, Elizabeth and Rachael Joines, Kyle (Shari) Latham, Sebastian Martin, Klaidyn, Kylie Tea, Maggie Jo, Victoria, Charlie, and Scarlette Hollis, Drew (Storm) Bratcher, Evan Whitis, and Reece Whitis; Five great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nannie Gardener; special care takers, Gloria Thomas and Mike Porter; and several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Price Funeral Home, Inc.; located at 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg, KY 42256 with Bro. Rick Clark and Bro. Austin Weist officiating. Interment will follow in Dunmor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gery Joines, Bill Latham, Jared Latham, Shawn Whitis, Jamie Travis, Jason Martin, and Brian Hollis.
