WHITE PLAINS – Ola Jean Merrell, 77, of White Plains, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Creekwood Place Nursing Home in Russellville. Born May 7, 1943, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Merrell.
Survivors include her daughter, Johnetta McNary; son John Bradford Merrell; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers Norman Williams, Thomas Jarvis, Paul Jarvis, Ed Williams, and W.C. Williams and sisters Regina Rolley, Sarah Jarvis, Reila Dukes, and Paula Jarvis.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Paul Cundiff officiating. Burial will follow in Oglesby Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
