GREENVILLE—Nila Yvonne Bandy Smith, 75, of Kuttawa, Ky. died Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Landmark of Kuttawa Nursing Home. Born in Greenville, February 8, 1949, the daughter of Wendell Moore Bandy and Margaret Merilene Walker Bandy. She was a medical transcriptionist, she owned Nila’s Painting Place, and was a team truck driver.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Smith, her parents, and a brother Dalmas Bandy.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Weir with Rev. Tom Stovall officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her brother, Kevin (Judy) Bandy of Greenville; two nephews, Conner (Haley) Bandy of Greenville, Chad (Krista) Bandy of Muddy, Ill.; and
three great nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 18 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
