GREENVILLE – Nancy Mae Woodson Hazzard, 76, of Greenville, died Friday, November 8, 2024 at her daughter’s residence. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., on November 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Dr. Hylan Hale Woodson, Jr. and Dorothy Rose Reagan Woodson. She had been a teacher in the Muhlenberg County School System, teaching for 28 years at Greenville Elementary She was a positive influence on everyone she met and had a loving and giving soul.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with her nephew Rev. Bryan Hale Brown. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Fredonia, Ky.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Ross Laster of Greenville; son, Hylan Sean (Tara) Ross of Virginia; grandson, Robert Keith (Paige) Burch of Hardinsburg; two great grandchildren, Aiden Burch and Mya Burch; three sisters, Roseann Fetzer of Jefferson City, Tenn., Betty (Ed) Bak of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara (Jim) Wolford of Owensboro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
