GREENVILLE – Mildred Lee Basham, 88, of Greenville, died Saturday April 8, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. at her residence. Born August 1, 1934 in Greenville, she was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Central City. She was a very loving person that gave to others with a generous heart. D. said that she was the best mom in the world. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she decorated with a lot of joy and excitement every year. She also loved working outside and stayed active throughout her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Basham; sister, Betty Jean Pointer; and brother, Bill Morris.
Survivors include her son, Darrell Basham; two brothers, James “Jimbo” Morris and Donnie Morris, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bro. Ryan Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Tucker Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
