Michael Wood, 80, of Greenville, KY, died on Thursday, January 1st, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on October 18th, 1945, in Brooklyn New York. The son of the late Margaret Donohue. He worked as a fire alarm dispatcher for the Massapequa Fire District. He was a USMC Veteran having served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother William Ward.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date in New York.
Gary’s Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years — Theresa Wood of Greenville, KY
