GREENVILLE – Melody Lynn Silvey Mercer, 63, of Greenville died Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 9:21 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born November 6, 1960 in Sydney, Neb., she was a member of Green River Chapel Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, children, and grandchildren. She always made time for craft-making and games with her grandkids. She enjoyed quilt-making, shopping, and drinking coffee with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Rager; mother Blanche Ferguson; and three sisters Loretta Bobo, Sharon Whitmer, and Sandy Koller.
Survivors include her children Tara (Jason) Westerfield, and Matthew (Amy) Mercer; grandchildren RaeLynne Westerfield, Kadee Westerfield, and Mackenzie Mercer; one brother Darrell (Sally) Vincent; three sisters Brenda Phillips, Deborah Aubrey, Linda Rager Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Jim Winters officiating. Burial will be private.
