GREENVILLE— Mary Lucille Eddings, 86, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born May 15, 1939 in Beechmont, the daughter of Johnny Monroe Luckett and Gladys Evelyn Luckett. Her life’s greatest work was being a mother and grandmother, always caring for others and showing unconditional love. Mary was happiest on her front porch with a glass of sweet tea, talking about how much she loved Jesus. She had an infectious laugh that could light up a room, and her family will always remember her delicious chocolate pies and her love of classic country music.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Ruby Nell Allen, Margie McPherson, Anna Mae Luckett; and three brothers Gene Luckett, Jack Luckett, and Pete Luckett.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY, officiated by Bro. David Cardwell. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton.
Survivors include her sister, Sue Long of Pacific, M0.; daughters, Terri (Keith) Blake of Greenville, Michelle (Rick) Peterson of Greenville, and Anita Eddings of Greenville; grandchildren Scott (Kecia) Blake, Jeremy (Andrea) Blake, Sarah Blake Neal, Jordan (Amanda) Eddings, and April (Josh) Kalso; great-grandchildren Austin Neal, Kaitlyn Neal, Macklan Blake, Hudson Blake, Bailey Blake, Emma Eddings, Ethan Eddings, James (Ashtynn) Kalso, Kyleigh (Caleb) Vincent, Hadleigh Jo Kalso; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
