GREENVILLE – Mary Jean Baker, 79, of Greenville, born October 23, 1945, entered into eternal rest Monday, December 9, 2024 at the her residence, in Greenville surrounded by a loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Drake and Gertrude Drake; granddaughter, Ashton Danielle Bard and a great-grand baby boy, Bentley William Rife, two brothers, DeCarlo Drake, William Drake; two sisters, Ola Yvonne Bard and Wilodean Ellis.
She was a graduate of Drakesboro Community High School, a member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Greenville.
Her employment consist of working at Cowdens Sewing Factory, Maple Manor Nursing Home, Dame Sewing Factory and Flynn Sewing Factory.
She loved attending yard sales, domestic work and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband, George Baker, Greenville; four daughters, Carmon Rife, Tyra Baker, Michelle Baker and Marisa Baker, all of Greenville; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers, Randall Drake, Atlanta, Ga., Kenneth Drake, Greenville, Ali Drake, Providence, and Billy Drake, Madisonville; five sisters, Cozetta Drake, Greenville, Reda Reynolds, White Plains, Freda Drake, Bowling Green, Bernice Baker, Louisville and Patrice Cox, Central City; one aunt, LouElla Drake, Crofton, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, December 14, 2024 , 1:00p.m. at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 402 Hopkinsville Street, Greenville with visitation from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville, KY. Rev. Glenda Sheral McCoy, Officiating.
