GREENVILLE – Mary Elizabeth Chapman, age 78, of Greenville passed away at Heartford House in Owensboro Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Born March 25, 1946 in Greenville, the daughter of Tommy and Lovie Boggess Chapman. She was a homemaker and a member of Greenville Second Baptist Church. Anyone who met Mary knew how much she cared about others and how much she loved her Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Opal Cotton, Junita Whistler and Alene Crick; and one brother, Tommy Chapman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville officiated by Rev. George Thompson, assisted by Rev. Bob Thurman. Burial will follow in Chapman Family Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Survivors include three nephews——-Scott Chapman of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Greg Chapman of East Dundee, IllL, and Jewell Cotton of Madisonville; several great nieces and great nephews; and many friends to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 8 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
Gary’s Funeral Home of Greenville has been entrusted with the care of and is in charge of arrangements.
