GRAHAM — Mary Agnes Gibson 93 of Graham, born March 14, 1932 in Harps Hill the daughter of Marion and Lucy Stewart Townsell. She was a custodian at Graham School for ten years before her retirement. Mary was a member of East Union Baptist Church. The only thing she loved more than her flowers, was her grandchildren. She loved her family, and loved them fiercely. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, LeRoy Gibson, brothers, Jack Townsell, James Townsell, Paul Townsell, and Robert Townsell. Her sisters, Reese Johnson and Helen Townsell, children, Zadie Mae Gibson and Jerry Gibson, one grandson, Jon Gibson and son-in-law Perry “Stump” Munday.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm from Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville by Reverend Joe Chambers with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Highway 70 West. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 after 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.
