BEECHMONT – Martha Ann Shutt, 85, of Beechmont, died Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 1:45 p.m. at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest in Owensboro. Born April 29, 1940, in Muhlenberg County to Ira and Marjorie Brown McDonald of Greenville. Martha was a homemaker, and was known for hand quilting beautiful quilts and baking sourdough bread and rolls. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, D. Lee “Dude” Shutt; and siblings June Quisenberry, Mary Jo Cundiff, Betty Smith, and Randall McDonald.
Survivors include her sons, Phillip (Tammy) Shutt of Beechmont and David (Amy) Shutt of Owensboro; grandchildren, Lucas Shutt, Jacob Shutt, Caroline Shutt, and Ethan Shutt; and siblings, Sandra Fulcher of Central City, Phyllis Rose of Bremen, Billy McDonald of Evansville, and Kenneth McDonald of Greenville.
