CLIFTY – Marilyn Shemwell, age 66 of Clifty, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Joines Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Latham Funeral Home.
Ms. Marilyn was born February 9, 1958, in Muhlenberg Co., Ky the daughter of the late William Kenneth McClellan and Ima Correne Wells McClellan Latham. She had worked at Flynn Enterprise in Elkton. Ms. Marilyn was of the Christian Faith. She was a caregiver, a Socialite and loved going to yard sales. She also was an avid UK Basketball fan.
Survivors include her sons, Jason Lear and his fiancé Cynthia Taylor of Clifty, John and Shauna Shemwell of Sharon Grove; one granddaughter, Kaliegh Shemwell.
