MADISONVILLE – Lydia Cara Stewart, 67, of Madisonville, passed away, Monday, May 5, 2025, at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville.
Born January 11, 1958, in Greenville to the late James Arthur Stewart and Lola Faye Green Stewart; three sisters Pam Farris, Ginger Gray and Dotie Harvey; two brothers, Warren Stewart and John Stewart; one son-in-law, Bobby Crume.
Lydia loved helping others, she volunteered at numerous places, such as, Elizabeth House, Common Garments and Sanctuary Baptist Association for sheltered girls. She was also a youth group leader, and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include here daughter; Amanda (Robert) Green of Hanson and one Son, Paul (Melissa) Harvey Jr. of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Crume of Hanson, and Emily Crume also of Hanson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Len Young and Bro. Robert Baily officiating. Burial will follow at Corley Chapel General Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home in Madisonville
