GREENVILLE – Lucyle Willis, 95 passed away peacefully at Muhlenberg Community Hospital Thursday, July 31, 2025. Born March 16, 1930. She was the eldest of eight children and enjoyed taking care of her brothers and sisters. She married the love of her life on February 20, 1948. She was a lifelong member of Landmark Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday School there for many years. She enjoyed quilting, canning, studying her bible, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Marie Bivins; her husband Jesse Junior Willis of 62 years; her brothers Paul Ray Bivins, Glendell Bivins, Darrell Bivins, Donald Bivins, Freddy Bivins; son in law Joe Edwards; granddaughter Kristy Edwards Tucker; grandson in law Coby Tucker; great granddaughter Kaileigh Tucker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Landmark Assembly of God Church in Greenville, officiated by Bro. Anthony Knight. Burial will follow in Landmark Cemetery in Greenville.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Sue Edwards; granddaughter Tracy and Michael Best; grandson Shawn and Jill Edwards; sisters Louise Morris and Linda Shelton; great grandchildren Brandon Wilson, Lauryn and Kameron Kinkade, Kate Edwards, Kristian Best, Kyrsten Best; great-great grandchild Arlen Kinkade.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th at Landmark Assembly of God Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of her arrangements.
