POWDERLY – Lou Ann Mason Dukes, 69, of Powderly, died Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 5:11a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Born April 14, 1955 in Jefferson, Ky. She worked as a Cashier for Food Giant and owned the Economy Inn. She loved Elvis Presley music; her favorite song was “Love Me Tender”. She loved to travel with her husband of 40 years, and enjoyed watching scary movies with her eyes closed because the movies scared her so much. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Dukes; parents, Juanita Mason and Richard Mason; and son, Jason Bolton.
Survivors include her daughter, Juanita Bolton; brothers, Paul Mason, Perry Mason, Richard Mason, Glenn Evans Mason, and Ricky Mason; sisters, Brenda Smith, Teresa Bentley; threee grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with David Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Carter Creek Cemetery.
