GRAHAM – Lottie W. Bennett, 93, of Graham, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. Born August 21, 1932 in Hopkins County to Clem O. Whitson and Rachel Brothers Whitson. She was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church. She had worked at General Electric in Owensboro and Hobgood’s Grocery. On October 7, 1954, she married Leslie “Haywood” Bennett and they built a life in Graham for 65 years until he died in April of 2020.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Betty (John) Littlepage and Mary (Norris) Conder.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, officiated by Rev. George Thompson. Burial will follow in Graham Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Tommy) Melton of Graham, Patricia Bennett of Graham, Karen (Keith) Thomas of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Crissy (Josh) Randall of Central City, Thomas (Nicole) Melton of Owensboro and Abbye (Cole) Emerson of Draffenville; seven great grandchildren, Kelsey (Justin) Martin, Kaylan (Josh) Flener, Kara (Cole) Scott, Joshie Randall, Zoey Melton, Everley Melton, and Bennett W. Emerson; two great-great grandchildren, Abel and Lucy Flener.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
