CENTRAL CITY – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois May Redd Bullock at her residence in Central City, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the age of 84. Born January 6, 1941, in Todd County, Ky. to the late Edgar and Lillian Redd. She married Edward Bullock on March 23, 1957, in Hammond Ind.. Together they had three children, Allen, Faye and Jeannie that they loved dearly. Lois was a very active member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church until she couldn’t attend due to her health. She loved her church and all her church family dearly. Lois loved teaching others about Jesus, and she lived her life for him. She taught Sunday School, Training Union, WMU, and Vacation Bible School for many years. She loved to teach others about the missionaries and support them all over. She enjoyed reading her Bible and read it through every year. She also loved studying Gods word and teaching others about Jesus. Lois worked as a School Bus Driver for Bremen Consolidated School and would tell stories of how much she loved the children on her bus.
Lois was mainly known to all who loved her dearly as “Granny.” She cherished her family, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great granddaughter. So many stories and many memories were made with them throughout the years. Whether it be a bad dream in the middle of the night or being sick, Granny always made it better. She would go wherever at any time to get her grandkids. There were many sleepovers at Grannies, where popcorn was a must have. She enjoyed reading to her grandkids and playing games with them. Having tea parties and pretending to be “fancy” was something her and her grandkids would always do. When you came to Grannies house it was play time and she made sure that she gave her undivided attention. She made the best grilled cheeses, and it didn’t matter if there was something else to eat and one of her grandkids wanted a grilled cheese, she would always make them her special grilled cheese. She loved the Holidays and loved for her family to be all together. Her chocolate cake and jam cake were staples of the Holidays. Christmas was always made special by her; every single person would have a stocking from Santa that contained items that were picked especially just for them. Listening to Christmas music and making Christmas cookies is one memory that her kids and grandkids will cherish forever. There is one thing that holds true and that was, she loved God and her family more than anything in the world.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents Edgar Thomas Redd and Lillian May Jones Redd. Her husband of 62 years Edward Allen Bullock. Her sisters Myrtle Curtis, Sybil Skinner and Hazel Wadlington. Her brothers Omer Thomas, Edgar Melton Redd, and Victor David Redd. Along with several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
Survivors include her son, Allen (Jennifer) Bullock of Moorman; daughters Faye (Jimmy) Tanner of Moorman, and Jeannie (Ricky) Daughtery of Cary, N.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell (Nathan Jones), Colby Campbell, Natasha Bullock, Elizabeth (Jeff) Storey-Pitts, Tabitha Horn (Chris Burch), Megan (Phil) Nadeau, Allen Daughtery, Cody Tanner, and Ashley (Kevin) Hurt; great grandchildren Chelsea (Chaz) Conrad, Easton Campbell, John Nadeau, Elliot Nadeau, Brooks Storey-Pitts, Sylvia Storey-Pitts, Foster Horn, Jackson Burch, Alex Tanner, Kobe Hurt, Jace Hurt, and Kade Hurt; one great-great granddaughter Zayna May Conrad. Along with several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Tammy Copous, Pam Hayward, Teresa Anderson, and Marylin Webster who cared for her and loved her like she was their “Granny.” Also, “Buck” Gerald Bullock, her special brother-in-law, was always there to check in on her, take her to appointments or anything she needed. His devotion to his family is something that shows the love he has for his family.
Lois had the desire and the hope that everyone she encountered knew about Jesus. She prayed for her family and friends and their salvation. She always said that she loved her family and friends so much that it would break her heart to know they didn’t know Jesus.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Ray Daugherty officiating, assisted by Bro. Jamie Daugherty. Burial in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and after 8AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online Condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
