Benton – Lisa Lorene Laycock-Burch, 60 passed away Monday, May 11, 2026. Born in Muhlenberg County April 8, 1966 to James David Laycock and Jane Thomas Gossett. She graduated from Central City High School class of 1984. Even though Lisa always called Central City home, she spent the last several years of her life living at KY Lake. She enjoyed making arts, crafts, truly enjoyed attending the Festival “Hippie Daze” and event held every year where she made friends and truly lived her best “Hippie Lift” of Peach, Love and Music as she always said, “Music is Life” as long as it was anything from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s era with some of her favorites being Elvis “Literally ALL Elvis Songs”, Janis Joplin “Me and Boggy McGee”, and an all time favoite, Dr. Hooks “Cover of the Rolling Stone”.
During her time at the Lake, she made friends that became like family to her over the years Kristie Kiolmer Cordes, her husband and two sons Devin & Jacob LeeLee will always love and miss you. She is proceeded in death by her best friend and husband Jamey Ray Burch, mother Jane Thomas Gossett, father James David Laycock, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Gossett, Mr. and Mrs Charlie Laycock and brother Jim “Brother” Laycock.
urvivors include her daughter, Alice Loy of Western, KY., son Jeremiah Loy of Washington, stepson Matt Burch of Western, KY., brother Dennis (Judy) Laycock of Western, KY., two nephews Cameron (Marla) Laycock of Western, KY., and Kyler Laycock of Ohio and niece Emily (Jeff) Jones of Western, KY. Along with several other family and friends.
“Celebration of Life” service will be held at a location at Kentucky Lake in honor of her memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers/gifts we ask that you make all donations to any Farmer Bank location in the form of Check/Money order to the account of Alice Loy and put in memo “Lisa Laycock Burch Memorial”.
