Linda Faye Lile, 80, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born July 14, 1942, she was a life-long resident of Greenville, her forever home. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Burke Fox and Reva Crick Fox. She was an educator, teaching English and grammar in the Muhlenberg County School System for thirty-one years, and retiring in 1996. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree and Rank 1 accreditation from Western Kentucky University. Faye was a licensed realtor and worked for Eaves Realty for many years, listed as top salesperson numerous times. She, along with her parents and sister, was a developer of the Foxboro area, a great addition to the community. Her interests included playing Duplicate Bridge, needlework, and the care of her pets, always assisting stray animals and wildlife. She was a member of Greenville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph Brett Lile and John Fox Lilel=; a devoted companion of 17 years, Mike Young; granddaughter, Sara (Jason) Young; great-granddaughter, Xoie Young; sister, Sue Fox Walters; nephew, Wade Walters; niece, Alexandra Walters Ebling.
Graveside services were held Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, conducted by Rev. John Galyen. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Muhlenberg Humane Society.
