Linda Ann Williams

CENTRAL CITY – It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Linda Ann Williams, 82, Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Born November 25, 1942 in Muhlenberg County.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Amy (Greg) Luttrell; granddaughters, Macey Mayes (Kyle Hilbrecht) and Meredith Mayes; and her beloved bonus grandchildren, Will (Brittany) Luttrell, Kristen (Jaron) Porter, and Drew (Alexis) Luttrell. She also leaves behind her cherished bonus great-grandchildren: Layton, Silas, Tucker, Grayson, Milly, and Emmy; her sister, Sue (Tommy) Morris; and a host of extended family members who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Lloyd “Bea Bea” Williams; her beloved daughter, Abby; her parents, Dallas and Lucille Whitehouse; and her siblings, Brenda Whitehouse, Charles Thomas Whitehouse, and Mary Jo Burns.

Linda brought light, love, and positivity to everyone she met. Her passion for education was evident throughout her life, from her early days at Spring Ridge School, through Muhlenberg Central High School, and later Bowling Green College of Commerce. She found fulfillment in her work at Lawton’s Insurance and then at Lester Motors, where she spent 18 meaningful years before retiring to embrace the role she treasured most—MiMi.

Though she was an extraordinary mother, becoming a grandmother and honorary grandmother was her greatest joy. Her love for children was truly a gift. She loved and adored her family and said multiple times that family was everything. Linda also held a deep affection for anything Disney, The Andy Griffith Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, and working her daily sudoku. She took great pride in her Kentucky roots, especially her hometown of Central City.  Her great love, besides Bea Bea, was the crooner Perry Como. She was a published author who sold her book on Perry Como in over 5 countries.

Linda’s unwavering faith carried her through life’s toughest challenges. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Central City, where her presence and spirit will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, April 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Central City with Bro. Tom Eblen officiating, assisted by Bro. Scott Milby. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, or Hospice of Western Kentucky – Heartford House. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Deaconess Gateway and Heartford House for their compassionate care.
