Leroy Newton, 87, of Clinton Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Norris
Rehab. in Andersonville Tenn. Born February 21, 1936 and formerly of Muhlenberg County, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Newton, his parents, Uriah and Goldie Newton, and sisters Barbara Riggs and Joyce Kiper.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Newton; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; brother, Gerald Newton; sisters, Betty Stone and Shirley Beliles.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Woodhaven Funeral Home in Powell Tenn. The Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military graveside honors following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
