CALHOUN- Lee Edwin Neal, 86, of Calhoun died Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his residence. Born in Muhlenberg County August 4, 1938. He was a retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Company and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Neal loved to sing and dance, woodworking, and driving his tractor with his dogs, Thunder and Lightning. He was a veteran of the Navy and a Kentucky Colonel. He was is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ruby Hudson and Robert Neal; first wife, Linda Miller Neal; grandchild, Kyson Neal.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Neal; children, Barry Edwin (Angela) Neal, Christopher (Kelly) Neal, Tim Lynn (Denise) Neal, Megan (Chad) Embry; stepson, Aidyn Armstrong; grandchildren, Chad, Tara, Jesse, Brittany; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Dale Hudson, Larry (Donna) Hudson; sisters, Carol (Norville,1948-2023) Zackery, Betty (Sherman) Rector, Cindy (John) Yonts.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Mike Neal officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery.
